"Ten years ago my mother called me and asked if I wanted to learn
pots. I was living in California at the time. She taught me how to
mix the clay make [the pottery], slip it, polish it, and fire it.
It inspires one a lot, it relaxes me—it takes the tension away
I follow traditional design and add some contemporary, I can get inspired
by the designs in the clouds. I like trying different types of clay
for different colors. I do the serpent, bear paw, and whatever comes
to mind." -1994
